Blazers baby!

Tuesday night I got to go with Dave to opening night for the Blazers. They don't allow "professional style" cameras inside so I stuck with my pocket camera (which means blur and funky lighting.) But I still like the action going on.

I had no idea, but opening night is a big deal. Check out these 8.5 x 11 tickets! Everyone got a hat and an obnoxious blinking pendant thing. The kids are pretty excited about them.

Brennan is a huge Blaze fan all of a sudden so I snapped his picture anytime he was near.

This lady, who was the half time show, was amazing. Dave said he's seen her perform three times and he still thinks its crazy. She's on that unicycle and tosses bowls up onto her head with her leg. There wasn't one that even got close to dropping.

Pretty fun.

Look who we found on tv!

We turned on the Blazer game and Ellen started hollering "Dad! I saw you! I saw you!" We rewound the DVR and lo and behold there was my Davey dance dance dancing.

Blazer mania

Dave took the kids to their very first Blazer game last night.

The kids worked on posters the day before, since as Dave has demonstrated to them over and over, posters are an intregral part of the Blazer game experience.

During the day the kids and I had lots of conversations about how it was all going to go down. Apparently Dave has imparted lots of other expectations also...

I:"I'm going to be on the jumbotron the whole time."

M:"Really? What about the players? When do they get a turn?"

I:"When I'm done dancing."

All ready for some serious cheering.

(by the way Ellen loves LaMarcus Aldridge because his initials are LA - the same as Los Angeles - the place of her birthplace. She loves that little connection.)

Dave took them when he was using his practically-up-against-the-back-wall-seats - the proper place for children to experience professional sports.

This is what I always used to think basketball games looked like. It's where everyone should start. (and maybe always be)

This makes me smile.

I'm pretty sure they had a great time.
