Before Emily went off and moved to Utah we started talking about putting together an etsy shop together. We chatted about it for about six months here and there whenever the mood stuck us. And then, when her move was just weeks away instead of distant months, we got a little serious and worked on setting a few things up.
And then we forgot about it completely for another six months. Well, maybe not forgot completely but being pregnant (me) and figuring out a new city/state/weather system (emily) took precedence. Well, guess what - we've finally started thinking about it again.
And we've actually done work toward that goal! There's still a lot more to be done, but I'm impatient and wanted to tell you now. :)
The first thing we did was name ourselves. Cause when you're working with etsy, that's important. We settled on at the table because so much of our day tends to be centered around our kitchen tables. We eat there, we teach there, we play games there, we laugh there, we sew there, we paint there, we create there - we live there.
We've got the beginnings of a logo, which needs to be cleaned up significantly. But I still love it.
The actual etsy shop where you can buy our fabulous and amazing things we've made at the table isn't quite ready to debut yet.
We've got a blog going where I think we'll both be contributing with posts about things we're working on, shop updates, shows/sales we may be participating in, giveaways, tutorials...good stuff like that. I'm going to be posting any crafty related stuff I do there and keep this blog more kid/family centered from now on. Right now you can see some of the things I've been crocheting...including a big nosed hippo.
