A long long time ago, maybe three or four weeks ago, I got to go to a blessingway for my friend Michele.
(If you've never heard of a blessingway, here's a link.)

We prayed over Michele while she received a henna "tattoo" (painting really). We each contributed a bead or two to a bracelet that she planned to wear until the birth of her baby. We all took home a candle to light when we heard that her baby was coming into the world.

Michele sent me a picture of her henna'd belly later that week. I love it.
And then, earlier this week, the baby was born.
And then, today, I got to go take the little guy's picture.

A couple times.

Be still my soul.

I think I love this whole photography thing.

Look at this happy family. That little baby is only days, days old, and they all look so well rested and at peace.
That is not how I looked when my babies were days old I can tell you that.

This little miss is a very proud big sister.

And this is one proud papa.

Thank you for letting me come and photograph you today! I've heard people say that before and I always thought it sounded weird, but you know what I get it now. Thank you!
Amazing photos!! I love them all and you totally captured their family and all their love and joy. Seriously amazing!!

Thank you SO much, Sarah. Once again, I just have to tell you, "you're amazing!" :) Having photos taken of our family has been such a dream/wish of mine; thank you for making it come true! :)
Blessings,
Michele
