Dave got some sweet river shots.

Looking at these pictures again make me anxious to go back there. Ellen feels the same way. I showed her some yesterday and she asked if we could go back this weekend.

On the walk back Ellen spotted this fun looking dragon fly that she wanted me to take a photo of. Unfortunately I focused on the rock instead of the bug. Next time.

And we saw even more tiny wild strawberries.

We're all hoping to start down this path again soon. Love that place.
And THEN, we went to the salmon hatchery in the park and left the camera behind in the RV. That turned out to be a big mistake. We saw a bald eagle, about fifty feet up in the sky - not far at all. It was circling the hatchery and when it got to one area some other sort of bird (that looked a lot like a sea gull actually) came out of the trees and flew at it. The two engaged in some serious aerial combat (or at least aerial threats) for several minutes before the eagle settled into a pine tree. Another eagle came out of hiding nearby and joined it. Those would have been some sweet shots. Next time.
That looks like a very unusual dragonfly indeed!
