the state of our rootbeer

this pretty much sums up our rootbeer making experience.

Some of our problems had to do with my own silliness...like putting ice into the drink to cool it instead of cooling it with an ice bath. Duh. It was crazy watered down. Our friend Amy Boles came to try it with us and she helped us figure out some of our lameness.

I gotta tell you I had high hopes. But...yeah...I don't think I would call this rootbeer. Maybe sarsaparilla tea. I tried it again later in the night and made sure it wasn't diluted at all and it still was tea. carbonated tea. how's that for tasty? yeah not so good.

Amy's moving away from us soon, so she and the kids had a discussion about where she's headed and how terribly far away from us it is. So sad. But I'm glad we got in one more Amy hangout before she drives away.
